Summary of Soul Center New Song Ministries walks with men returning home from incarceration. Founded in 1992 and serving Kenosha, now expanding into Racine County, we stay small by design. We walk closely with a few men at a time through worship, mentoring, and shared meals. Our goal is development, not dependence: men who were served grow into leaders who serve.
Description New Song Ministries walks with men returning home from incarceration. The ministry began in 1992 and has served the Kenosha community as a nonprofit since 1994. We are now expanding into Racine County.
Coming home is often the hardest part. Men leave with few resources, broken relationships, and a record that closes doors. New Song meets them in that season with Christian community and steady, personal support.
Our work is relational and small by design. We walk closely with a handful of men at a time, helping them rebuild faith, stability, and purpose. Our aim is development, not dependence: men who were once served are encouraged to grow into leaders who serve others.
How we serve
- Weekly worship: Sunday at 5:00 PM
- Shared meal: every other Sunday after service, with food brought by those who attend
- Mentoring and discipleship
- Practical help with the steps of reentry
Get involved
We welcome churches, volunteers, and mentors who want to stand with returning men. Prayer, presence, and consistency matter more to us than programs. Contact us to visit a Sunday service or to learn how you can help.
Our name comes from Psalm 40:3, and our heart comes from Hebrews 13:3: remember those in prison as if you were there with them.
