Outreach 419 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and ministry based in Fenwick, Michigan, led by Pastor Heidi Woldhuis. Our mission is to provide a grounded, truthful environment for spiritual growth and life skills development. As a Soul Center, we serve as a community hub for "Life Recovery," offering support for those navigating the challenges of life, trauma, and spiritual disconnect.
The Mission of Life Recovery
Our ministry is built on the fundamental understanding that the root of human struggle is the "Lie of Self-Rule"—the attempt to live independent of God. We believe the only path to true freedom is through the Truth of God.
At Outreach 419, we do not distinguish between those struggling with substance use and those who are not. We recognize that everyone needs recovery from self-reliance. Our approach is professional and straightforward: we provide the tools, biblical teaching, and community support necessary to move away from destructive patterns and toward a life surrendered to God.
Community Impact: Sober Not Boring
A vital part of our outreach is Sober Not Boring, a program and community initiative designed to show that a life of faith and sobriety is full, active, and joyful.
* Weekly Engagement: We host Friday night gatherings that focus on genuine connection through shared meals and activities. These aren't just meetings; they are opportunities to build a healthy, fun, and accountable community.
* Support & Education: We offer practical life-skills training—including meal planning and nutrition—alongside peer recovery coaching.
* Accessibility: Our doors are open 24/7 for those in need of a safe space, providing a consistent presence in a rural community where resources can often be scarce.
Reach and Reliability
Outreach 419 currently serves 200–250 people weekly through our in-person services and community programs. Additionally, our message reaches an online audience of 1,200–1,400 listeners each week. We are committed to serving "salt of the earth" people with honesty, depth, and a complete lack of pretension.
Purpose as a Soul Center
As a Soul Center, Outreach 419 functions as a practical ministry where the Bible is applied directly to the wounds of daily life. We provide:
* Biblical Discipleship: In-depth teaching that respects the intelligence and the struggles of our members.
* Ministerial Care: Dedicated chaplaincy services for life’s critical moments, from crisis intervention to community celebrations.
* Leadership Development: Training others to lead with the same "Life Recovery" mindset, ensuring the ministry remains a permanent pillar of support in our region.
